Our partner from SSML Carlo Bo, Francesco Saina, had the opportunity to present and promote the project during two major international conferences dedicated to translation, interpreting, artificial intelligence and the language industry.
On 20 May, the project was presented in Milan, at IULM University, during the CIUTI 2026 Conference (Conférence Internationale Permanente d’Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes), on the topic “T&I, AI, and the Language Industry: Aligning Research, Training and Professional Practice”.
On 22 May, Francesco participated in SlatorCon, Slator’s conference on solutions and AI in the language industry, held in London. This second event further contributed to the dissemination of the project and to strengthening its visibility at European level, particularly among professionals and stakeholders working in the field of language technologies.
Both occasions proved to be particularly important for the promotion of the project, which raised curiosity and interest among the participants. Participation in these events made it possible to reach a qualified audience, share the first results achieved by the consortium, and present the future perspectives of the project in relation to the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in language learning, teaching, translation and interpreting.
We would like to thank Francesco for his valuable work and for his contribution to the dissemination of the AI-NYELV project in these international contexts. With these activities, the project marks another important objective achieved in its development path. They also contribute to the achievement of one of the planned KPIs, namely the production of four scientific papers by the end of the project.
