AI-assisted Foreign Language Education in Higher Education
The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies is transforming various educational fields, including language education. As AI tools become more sophisticated, their integration into language learning and teaching is becoming increasingly common, offering both new opportunities and challenges. The AI-NYELV project responds to these developments by critically examining the role of AI in language education, particularly within the higher education (HE) sector. The project aims to explore the potential of AI to enhance language learning while also addressing its limitations, ensuring that students and educators are well-equipped to navigate and leverage these technologies effectively.

The Partnership
The project brings significant added value at European level thanks to the collaboration between 8 partners from 6 different countries, including 6 Universities and 2 VET training providers. This ensures a wide geographical coverage and considerable linguistic diversity. This transnational consortium makes it possible to address the challenges of language teaching and AI integration in a multilingual context, overcoming the limitations of isolated national approaches. The cultural and linguistic diversity of the partners involved, who come from countries such as Hungary, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Poland and Cyprus, enriches the research and fosters the development of solutions adapted to very different educational contexts.
